You know I love Big Brother, right?!? Well, the new season starts on July 8th and they just announced the new house guests! Click HERE to check them out!

I'm always a little hesitant when they cast too many people who look like they could be models or actors. Call me crazy, but I wouldn't mind a big-boned gal, a beer-bellied fella and/or anyone with a lil' ethnic flava being thrown into the mix. That being said, I trust the Big Brother producers to know much better than I do and I cannot wait for the new season to start!

Front Entrance
On the wall across from the front door, two palm tree trunks run up both sides of the wall. The top of the trees (which may have had coconuts) branch out across from the second-floor chess area. I must say though, when I first ran into the house, I totally missed these.

Living Room
The living room didn’t stick out much to me this year. One large purple wallpaper wall is noticeable when you first walk into the room (with a light, shiny pattern). The nomination chairs were white Florida beach house-like chairs with basket material-like arm rests. The main couches didn’t stick out either—they were long with short arm rests complete with plenty of pillows. Large white shells and other décor sat on a table for decoration.

Bedrooms
There were three main bedrooms—we were only given access to two. My room (the bedroom without a door) had three little beds with dark wallpaper that had a busy tropical tree design. If I remember correctly, each bed was a different bright color.

The other bedroom (which we sat in for nearly an hour without talking—explaining why I remember it so clearly) was nicknamed the “rainbow room.” It had bright, vertically-stripped wallpaper (with a main color of red) with three beds and foe glass block walls that showcased bright rainbow colors. The room also had large IKEA-like circle lights hanging from the ceiling. Side note: While I sat in the bed looking at this light, I realized for the first time that many of the rooms in the Big Brother house had waffle ceilings… I found that funny.

The third bedroom remained locked and, according to producers, would again be a “have not” bedroom. It’s hard to say what’s behind that door—but, for my super BB fans, they even covered the hole for the camera that can pan between both bedrooms—so there was definitely no peaking!

Kitchen/Dining Room
TV Guide gave you the first look inside these areas—the teal kitchen cabinet doors definitely catch your attention when you walk into this area. Beyond the flamingos waiting at the bottom of the stairs, there was not a lot that drew my attention.

One fun story: When we were cooking dinner in the kitchen, we went to use the microwave and learned that it wasn’t plugged in or even near an outlet. After asking the Big Brother gods why they would have a microwave nowhere near an outlet, I carried it (somewhat clumsily) to the other counter and set it in between the stove and sink. Needless to say, I found it enjoyable that it still sits there in the picture published in TV Guide. And to think, I thought I had no career in interior design…

“Cabana Room”
Well… contrary to what some fansites have posted, there are no coffins and spiders in this room—so let me be the first to “kill off” those rumors.

In the past we’ve seen this room as an exercise room and a spa room—it looks like this year it will mainly be used for games and naps. Before entering, an awning sticks out over the outside of the door. A large “sitting area” with tons of pillows takes up a majority of the room. Directly to the left of the door sits a fish tank.

Speaking of the fish tank, I imagine our “competition/nomination view” on the live feeds will again be a fish tank—and I bet this is the command center for it.

Bathroom
Unfortunately, this is the room I remember least about (it may have to do with the fact that I consider the bathroom like an office conference room—it’s only a place for business). I do remember while washing my hands the countertop was white with a rectangular sink. Also, per normal, a small seating area sat right behind the sink.

One interesting note: It was very odd to use the bathroom in the Big Brother house. First, it goes without saying that it’s somewhat uncomfortable to be wearing a microphone while you’re “taking care of business.” Secondly, it’s also very weird to use the bathroom when the door doesn’t lock—I never thought about it while I was there, but I never knocked before entering!

HOH Room
When you travel up the yellow staircase, the second floor again has a wallpaper collage-like scene on it (I don’t quite remember what it was of). In the sitting area, a rounded purple sitting area again allows players to play chess—which at the time, was missing a chess piece (let’s hope they found it).

The HOH room did not seem a lot different to me this year. Similar to last season, a collage-like scene of a crowd at the beach filled one wall, with the same clever paneling in front of it. A few drape-like cloths hung out from this, which I thought was very weird (and apparently very hard to describe). A big white shag rug took up a lot of the floor, and a desk for a computer sat in the corner. Interestingly enough, our inquisitive group opened it to find a whole manicure/pedicure set inside of it—and being the shy bunch that we were… we used it.

Again, I don’t remember a lot about the HOH bathroom either, but together, both the room and bathroom definitely were elegant and something worth fighting for in the game.

Backyard
The backyard looked very similar to last season. It had a mural that ran against the back wall—a summer, beach-like theme. The pool and hot tub were still there (and let me just say, the hot tub is A LOT smaller in person). The weight area was in its normal place, as were the washer, dryer, and pool table. The sitting area looked the same, with the same flower/ivy-like set-up on the wall behind the chairs.

Diary Room
The diary room was the coolest part of the house for me as a fan. My favorite part was… [Matt, you are not allowed to talk your about diary room sessions with other houseguests]. Well, it was worth a try… Needless to say, the area doesn’t look a whole lot different than last year. And I can tell you that I thought it got really toasty in there with all the lights!

It has been reported around the web that there are 14 house guests. That is no longer correct. CBS has told Zap2it that one contestant got out to the Los Angeles area in the pre-show sequester and got cold feet, so she chose not to participate in the show. They were sad to lose her, but there are 13 exciting "Big Brother" contestants to meet!

For the first time in the history of the series, one contestant will not be playing to win the half million dollar prize. Instead, this Houseguest will play the role of the Big Brother Saboteur, whose sole mission will be to disrupt the lives of their fellow Houseguests.

Upon moving into the house on premiere night, Houseguests will discover that one of them is not really there to win the game, but rather to sabotage their fellow players. While the saboteur's identity will remain a secret to the Houseguests, America will learn his/her identity on Thursday, July 15, during the first LIVE show. If the Saboteur is able to make it to the halfway point of the game, a financial reward awaits. Fans can tune into the premiere on July 8 or visit http://www.cbs.com/bbtwist to learn more about how they can submit viewer suggestions.

This season, Houseguests will be surrounded by an Art Deco-themed "Playground by the Shore." The Big Brother house will be accented with palm tree groves and walls of glass, while the exterior of the house is lifted straight from Miami's Ocean Avenue. The Art Deco theme continues in the living room with ultra-modern furniture, white accents, glass tables and glass along the walls. The Palm Bedroom features crisp white beds and neon green linens and pays homage to vintage Miami. The Sunset Bedroom, located in the rear of the house, is a glow of warm orange and bronze-hued décor where the walls are lined with curved glass blocks that were custom built for the Big Brother house.

Once again this season, Houseguests on the losing side of select competitions will be banished to the "Have Not Room," where luxury and comfort are non-existent.

Following the premiere on Thursday, July 8 (8:00-9:00 PM, ET/PT), BIG BROTHER will be broadcast three nights weekly, beginning Sunday, July 11 (8:00-9:00 PM, ET/PT), Wednesday, July 14 (8:00-9:00 PM, ET/PT) and the LIVE eviction show, hosted by Julie Chen, beginning Thursday, July 15 (8:00-9:00 PM, live ET/delayed PT).

More information is slowly filtering in as Wednesday approaches, one tibit is that there will be 14 house guests. Can't wait until July 8th.  Details from Reality BBQ.

This year we’ve gone with darker colors accented with complimentary
colors. Very sexy. But it’s still BB and and there is plenty of colors popping out. We’ve had practice HGs playing the game to get the crew back in the habit. We’re ready for the real HGs to get in there. It looks GREAT! We’re very pleased.

In the kitchen is teal and yellow. The staircase is also yellow. A gaggle of flamingo lounge under the stairs.

Outside the HOH door, think Miami night life for the wall paper. Pink Neon by door. Palm trees that go all the way down and appear in the wall.

In the spa is a big 6 person bed.

My favorite room is the bathroom. Stripes of small yellow, black, and white tiles cover the walls. Will we have a Killer Bee alliance?

Favorite BB UK fight

In Big Brother 5 unstable ex-house guests Emma Greenwood and Michelle Bass returned to the Big Brother house after a fake eviction. Some of the house guests were super pissed and after verbally trashing each other it turned into a brawl. Live feeders called the police to inform them about what was going on in the house. It was the first time in BBUK's history that security on site was called into the house to break up the melee.

I have been watching the FB for BB11 to get my flashback page up, which is complete by the way.  I just watched the night Chima threw her microphone in the HT and the early morning hrs. after she left. What a crazy few days they were. Jessie was evicted on Thurs. by Jeff and the wizard power. Michelle won HOH and that night Jessie's girls had a meltdown over Chinese.  Friday night Chima melted down by throwing her microphone in the HT, refused to go to DR and cursed out BB a few times.  She was insufferable that night and took it into early Saturday. After she left a new HOH was needed, so Michelle's reign was cut short.


The HOH competetion was held and Jordan won, Lydia got drunk and belligerent during the competition.  The feeds came back and a fight ensued with even Jeff screaming back, he was fed up.  Lydia had to wear the Captain Unitard suit she won in the challenge and dumped Michelle's booze. Those were some good feed days, a lot of FOTH, but just rewatching them made me excited about the upcoming season. Lets hope we have some of those crazy moments on the feeds we all love.

Big Brother 12 last minute casting?

Below is a portion of Evel Dick's (BB8) blog on facebook about BB12 casting at the last minute. I have * out all the profanity.

Final thoughts on casting for this season...
I was very disappointed to hear that BB put out a last minute and I mean LAST F****** SECOND, call for cast members, I think today...
This means someone they wanted on the show was either vetoed by the upper suits, or someone or someone's really f***** up right at the end (dumb mother f******) but it means that a week before they are to be sequestered that some random last minute choices will be made. I hate that. Not only because it took me 3 f****** years to get on the god damn show and these jerk off's will get the same opportunity I worked so hard to get in 155 weeks less time, but because these choices are typically clueless about the show, period. They will be stumbling and bumbling around the internet and will be checking sites that promise to make you a reality star and end up going just because it is within walking distance of their job at the gym or because they are a toilet paper changing engineer in the building already, so between the fat guy they need to spray half a can of Lysol because the smell of his s*** is creeping out of the toilet and the receptionist in the first office past out due to being overwhelmed by s*** smell and the drunk guy that pissed all over the floor, they will go and see if they can get a free summer vacation on tv....
UUUuuuuuuughhhhh!
So much goes into the entire process, I find it hard to believe they can find anyone worth a s*** in a week, but they do it almost every year.
I hear they are looking for a tattooed guy with f***** up hair and a s***** attitude.... where do they come up with this s***?

More BB12 House Rumors

Media day was yesterday. Here's what I can share.

* As expected, the BB12 house is decorated with mostly a beach/summer camp theme. One of the walls has been taken down and there are now only two bedrooms (not counting HOH).

* The small bedroom looks like a beach with various size sandcastles (fake) and beach balls. There's a really pretty ocean mural painted on the wall with reeds running along it which makes it look very realistic. Two of the beds are beach lounge chairs and two of the beds are simply beach towels. In this room, there are no mattresses.

* The big bedroom looks like a summer camp cabin. There are bunk beds along the wall and a big sleeping bag on the floor which fits more than one person. A giant (fake) moose head hangs from the wall. The dressers are adorned with lanterns and other cabin-esque accents.

* In the living room, there's a big screen behind the couches and nomination chairs that plays a continuous loop of crashing waves. Fake palm trees stand on each side of it. The carpet is shag and sandy colored. The wall opposite the nomination chairs is decorated with an ocean sunset mural which is gorgeous. The whole room looks like a tropical paradise.

* There's a large fish tank between the living room and the kitchen with really exotic looking fish inside. It's the first thing you see when you walk into the house.

* The kitchen looks like a cabin. There's a big round picnic table in the corner. Glossy wood paneling covers the walls which lends to the summer camp cabin theme. The floors are hardwood. The memory wall is made of glossy wood paneling as well and it's designed to look like big (plastic) ladybugs are crawling all over it. Really cute.

* The bathroom is really pretty. The walls are shiny and metallic and decorated with different shades of blue and the floor looks like sand (fake though). The seashell sinks are designed to look like they're floating in mid air. Big blue lava lamps hang on the wall on each side of the mirror. The bathroom gives off an "under the sea" vibe.

* The diary room looks the same as last year except the background is lit red instead of blue.

* The hallway to the HOH room is also beach themed, but instead of the usual couch/chess set on the upstairs landing, there's now a mini gazebo.

* The HOH room is bizarre. It's sort of a creepy carnival theme which doesn't fit with the rest of the house at all. In one corner, there's a fortune telling arcade machine. In another corner, there's a tank with a giant (and I mean GIANT) tarantula inside. Along the walls are funhouse mirrors which make you look taller/shorter/fatter/skinnier as you walk past them.

* The backyard has a volleyball net but there are no volleyballs. Just beach balls. The pool table is gone and a foosball table has taken is place.

* The "green" room (formerly the spa/workout room) is perhaps the most bizarre room we've ever seen in all twelve seasons of Big Brother. It's decorated to look like a funeral parlor. In the middle of the room is a big white casket with an open lid. Behind the casket is a large frame that says "rest in peace" with a space for someone's picture in the middle. The casket is surrounded by funeral bouquets. With the exception of a small table in the corner and a candy dish, there is nothing else in this room. The walls are plain white with minimal decor.

I got this from a very reliable source, and couldn’t wait to share the news!
These are some details of the new BB12 house!!!

• There is a really tall entry door. Which looks very “tiki” like, something you would see on a tropical hut.
• When you walk in the door you are immediately met with a huge fish tank that takes up the majority of the wall in front of the door – lots of very colorful and some really big fish!
• In the living room there are once again two large couches and the usual nomination chairs. This year the couches are a light blue with cream colored nomination chairs
• The wall nearest the diary room in the living room has a large screen which plays a nonstop loop of crashing waves. There are a few palm trees and other tropical accents throughout the room. It makes you feel like you’re on the beach!
• This kitchen has a camp theme. It’s very outdoorsy! The table is a giant picnic table, and there is a lot of modern looking wood paneling with different shades of green through out the room. It actually looks really cool.
• The bathroom’s finally got a decent makeover. The floor looks like sand and the walls are blue. There are sea shells and the sinks look like they’re floating in mid air. There is once again a big chair in the corner.
• One of the bedrooms is themed like a “sand castle” and looks very cool. With another cool room themed like a camp cabin complete with bunk beds.
• The hall to the HOH room keeps with the beach theme
• The back yard has the basic setup, with a volley ball net, and beach balls. There is also a “camp fire” pit.

The Real Player BB season pass will be available on June 17th- July 7th and will be $29.99. Real also gives you $10.00 to spend on music monthly. Flashback will be an option along with a few new ones. It looks the feeds will be able to be viewed in either Real Player or your web browser, not many details yet, I guess we will wait and see. A new feature called interactables and chat features.

Real Player announced that they will have a discounted early bird special that will probably be good until the day before the live feeds begin. Real usually offers a flat price for three months. I will post the price when it is announced.

Today we had the extreme pleasure of interviewing Allison Grodner, the executive producer of Big Brother. Allison took time out of her very busy schedule to help get us fans up to speed on the coming season of Big Brother 12.

Some of the highlights of the interview are:

1) The number of house guests is likely to stay in the same range as previous years, some where around 12 to 14.

2) This year it will be more difficult than ever before. Allison commented that in order to keep the game interesting for the fans and challenging for the house guests, things will not be quite the same as previous years. Expect the unexpected, things will be less predictable.

3) The theme of the show this year will be a "Beach Theme" keeping with the idea of summer camp.

4) Allison also took the time to debunk the latest rumor that next season of Big Brother will be the last. Allison is looking for the same kind of success the show experienced last season to have it renewed again after this season and looks forward to a rosy future for Big Brother.

5) Allison truly embraces the fans. She confided that yes she does surf the different web sites to verify things and stay in contact with fan opinion.

6) One of the most interesting nuggets to come out of the interview is this season a number of house guests will have different backgrounds and personalities than we have ever seen before.

All in all I believe Allison gave us all she could in respect to information for the coming season. For the avid Big Brother fan there should be enough to keep your mind whirling all the way to Big Brother 12.
